Just bring it on
It is Thursday, cloudy cold morning. It is 5 C below zero with snow flakes
all around. I don't work on Thursdays. This is the day for making my calls
and to go to my walk. I am home, it is like an empty nest. Everyone left for
work and school.
I have to call my Sister-in-law. She lives back home. Yesterday was her son's
wedding. I have to give congratulations and my best wishes for that. She is
my late husband's sister. He died in 1976, around half a century back.
I call her, to keep connection alive.
I also have to call my another sister in law. She lives in Aurora, one hour
away from my place. She is my elder brother's wife. She is not feeling well
nowadays. We have to share, when people facing difficult time of their lives.
This gives them power and boosts up their morale to face the challenging
moments. It gives them assurance that they are not alone, someone is there
to hold their hands.
We have to share the moments of their celebrations, their accomplishments
too. It is like a note of acknowledgement. Everything is give and take. What
goes around, comes around. Spread happiness around and you will get the
same in return. Trust me.
Three of my four Daughters live in England. They are in different time
zone. It is 9.30 morning, to start my day I am on my computer, going
through the messages on my Facebook, they are nearly done with their day.
It is 2.30 at their end. My other Daughter lives in Edmonton. She is two
hour behind the time of that in Toronto. We talk every day, anyway.
It is 12.30 Flurries just stopped so I am getting ready for my walk to Tim
Horton. It is 1.15, I am at the Coffee House, having small coffee with
Banana muffin, enjoying my time alone slot and writing my Blog.
It is 2.30, I am done, now time to walk home. Slurpee Boy, my youngest
grandson and master Golden, the middle one, will be home from school
at 3 pm. I will spend some time with them before they go their Dens,
to hibernate with their computers.
I am on Whites Road, it started raining with ice pellets. Don't you people
worry about. I have my maroon umbrella with me. I got it from Dollarama,
for three dollars.
I am all dressed up in layers with my maroon sweater, gift from my sister in
law, from Marks Spencer, one of my favorite store. I am wearing my long
black coat and woolen embossed sea green scarf, from my middle Daughter,
who lives in Grimbsy, England. I am ready to handle whatever is there, just
bring it on.
