Enjoying coffee in a mug

May be an image of candle holder

It is Tuesday February the 10th. The weather is getting better. It snows once a while. Not any snow storms.

Just flurries and light snow. That adds up to the top of the snow already piled up on the sides of roads.

Paths are a bit slippery, not safe to walk for the people of my age. We have to be extra cautious while getting out in this weather.

City workers do their job as much as they can. Roads are clear. They clear the walkways too.

It is still slushy and with icy patches here and there. I don’t feel safe to walk. Not their fault. It is the weather.

It's nearly the middle of February. The winter season is about to be over. A couple of weeks to go. Spring is just around the corner.

We are in much better shape here in Toronto.
My daughter, the eldest one, called from Edmonton. They have heaps of snow all around. The winter always used to be too long and drastic over there.

The weather is getting better in Edmonton. They have 2 C now. Not good for them. It resulted into another chaotic situation. Snow started melting. Icy roads are now too slippery for the traffic resulting in road accidents.

I think we are much better here in Toronto. Snow piles by the sides are not too high. We are in better shape for sure. The winter is not tough as compared to the other provinces in Canada.

Especially the provinces in the North. They have to experience a really hard winter time.

We humans have a quality of adjustments. Adjustments to the people and the atmosphere. We manage all that with time.

It is 1.30,I am sitting in the Second Cup coffee house. My youngest grandson was going to the gym. He dropped me here on the way. So nice of him. I am enjoying my coffee in a mug. It is a festive atmosphere here.

So many people are here. Some in small groups. Some are sitting alone like me, busy with their computer and tablet. Some are busy with phones. I am at the corner sitting on a leather sofa seat.

There are so many sofas here. High class seating arrangement as compared to the Tim Hortons coffee house. Coffee is also a bit costly.

I used to get my small coffee for a dollar and sixty seven cents at Tim Hortons. Here my small coffee costs me two dollars and eighty nine cents, around three dollars.

At the Second Cup, the atmosphere is a bit high class. It reminds me of Costa coffee house in England.

I still miss my Tim Hortons, my second home. We have to accept whatever is there anyway to make our days. No complaints. Life is all good.
