Enjoying Memories

Another hot morning. Humid, the sun is shining in full bloom. The month of July is nearly done.
Just one more day to go. It is 9.15 in the morning.
I have to do my laundry. I will put my comforter in the washer. It is bulky so it will take longer to wash.
I don't do that so often. Just a couple of times in a year. Too much work to handle.
I will do that now after that I will have my breakfast. By the time I will be done with my laundry. I will start getting ready for my walk.
We have to organize things to streamline our time table for the day. After our retirement, we have to manage things on our own. We still have twenty four hours to handle.
It is a hot day so I have to pick something light to wear from my wardrobe. I picked my flowery georgette top. Very light and not a see through one.
It reminded me of my friend. I bought it from the Bay departmental store with her. Decades ago we used to go to the Scarborough Town Center to enjoy our time together.
She used to live at the Military Trail at that time. She had to take a TTC bus from her place to Scarborough Town. I used to walk to Kingston road to get the Go bus from there. It is a fifteen minute walk.
We used to have lunch together and walk around to enjoy our time. She is not here, back home now. Not well, with a severe Dementia. The Bay Departmental store is also no more here. It has been closed down.
Time flies so fast. Things change so quickly. The memories stay close to your heart. You can feel fresh, never changed. Never stale.
I am wearing that top I got with her, thinking about her and the time of taking buses to make our days. Beautiful memories.
