Value the moments before nest is empty

It is Saturday mixed sunny cloudy morning with 9 C, not so cold for we
Canadians. As soon as I am out of my bed, I have all my Day plan ready.
Today I have to do my laundry. My hair color is also on my "Things To Do"
list, in addition to other of my weekend routine matters.

On weekends after breakfast, I stay in the TV lounge for a while, to
spend some time with my Son. To watch TV and to enjoy the scenic
view of my back garden through the big glass panels in front.

Grass now turned into green, no more snow around. Pear tree on the
left is back to life, smiling now, spreading happiness around.

It is 10.30, I am done with my hair color and with my laundry.
I am also done watching TV show "Little House in the Prairies".

I keep in mind not to block the main washroom for others in the family
so I did my hair color before my breakfast at 8.30. Same with the
laundry, not to block for others. Me and my Son are early risers,
everyone else sleeping.

It is time for my walk. I am getting ready to go. It is 11.30, I am at Tim
Horton, not so busy here. Some old faces like mine, enjoying with company
of their own. Couple of families with their kids. I think teens are still in bed.

I am enjoying my time alone slot, having small coffee with half hot water,
toasted raisin biscuit with jam, writing my Blog. It is 12.45, I am done,
time to walk home.

It is cold but no worries I am all dressed up in layers. My youngest
grandson, the Slurpee Boy must be awake. I will make some special lunch
for him. Time flies. One day he will also be gone, leaving the nest empty.
We have to value the moments in hand.
